Preg, O’Donnell & Gillett is pleased to announce that attorney Felipe Mendez has joined its Seattle office as an associate. Mr. Mendez graduated Cum Laude from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs in 2005, after graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2003 with his bachelor’s degree from Heritage University. He received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2008.

Mr. Mendez will primarily work in the firm’s School Law section, as his practice has focused on representing and defending school districts since he started his practice in 2008.  Mr. Mendez served as the Deputy General Counsel at Tacoma School District for the last five years, and has broad-based experience handling all types of issues that face school districts on a day to day basis, including labor and employment, federal and State regulatory compliance, student discipline, harassment, intimidation and bullying, special education, discrimination claims, harassment, collective bargaining, investigations, hiring, and contract disputes.
