Professional Experience

Phil's thirty years of practice has focused on construction law. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in multi-million dollar claims, as well as in the smallest of lien claims. His reputation as a talented, fair, and insightful litigator has resulted in the successful resolution of dozens of the most complex multi-party claims.

Phil comes from a construction family, showing that his passion for this field of practice has deep roots in his past. His father, a licensed mechanical engineer, was instrumental in fostering his interest in all aspects of the construction field. Prior to attending law school, he worked for Howard S. Wright Construction and Harbor Mechanical. His on-site experience includes working on large multi-floor high-rise commercial office buildings (Seattle, WA), pulp and paper mills (Longview, WA) and quality assurance inspector at the Trojan Nuclear Power Generation Facility (Rainier, OR). Balancing real-world experience with extensive training, Phil has built for himself a solid and trustworthy reputation for excellence in his field.

Education

Phil received a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science from Western Washington State College in 1973.
Graduated from Northwestern School of Law, and Lewis & Clark College in 1977.
