Professional Experience

Lauren has been a litigator the entirety of her legal career. For over a decade, she practiced as a juvenile defense attorney in Portland, Oregon. In that position, Lauren represented hundreds of children, teen, and parent clients in and out of the courtroom. She also represented children seeking immigration status after fleeing from abuse/neglect in their home countries. Prior to that position, Lauren represented private criminal defense clients in counties throughout Oregon, volunteered at Legal Aid defending victims of domestic violence in contested hearings, and was a contract attorney for Plaintiff-side civil litigation.

Lauren is a musician and plays classical and rock viola. She also grew up in Portland, Oregon—with her maternal family's roots in Oregon spanning four generations. Lauren believes in a robust life outside of work. She enjoys skiing, backpacking, hiking, biking, bird watching, gardening, traveling the world, cooking, spoiling her dog, horseback riding, photography, and rooting for the Oregon Ducks and the Portland Trail Blazers.
