Effective July 25, 2016, Mr. William T. Cornell will join Preg, O’Donnell & Gillett as an Of Counsel attorney. Mr. Cornell will bring an extensive and varied experience to the firm, exemplifying the high level of service, excellence and integrity that Preg, O’Donnell & Gillett provides to its clients.
Mr. Cornell received his Juris Doctor from the University of California at San Diego in 1989, having served as Law Review Managing Editor while there. Since that time he has worked as in-house counsel for a regional homebuilder, Director of Litigation Management for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, and until recently was Managing Partner at Lorber, Greenfield & Polito.
Mr. Cornell is a seasoned litigator working on all types of general liability, real estate, construction, and complex commercial disputes. He is also an experienced corporate attorney, providing risk management and contract advice to a variety of clients including builders, real estate professionals and commercial landlords. He is a regular speaker at various construction-related seminars including the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Seminar in May of 2013, the WDTL Construction Law Seminar in February of 2014, and the MC Consulting Construction Defect Seminar in September of 2014.
Mr. Cornell is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon and the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and is also a member of the Master Builders Association. He is an AV® Peer Review Rated attorney through Martindale-Hubbell. His depth of experience and wealth of legal knowledge will be a valuable resource for the firm’s clients.
